Today is the day! Today is the day that Wycked – The Seventh Matilda Kavanagh Novel is live!

I am very excited to have this book out in the world just in time for Halloween. And I’m even more excited to say that I broke my record for pre-orders with this book!

If you haven’t had a chance to pre-order it, you can just go buy it now! Here are some helpful links for you:

I’d also like to give you some information about a contest I’m running right now. You can enter to win my very own author proof of Wycked, personalize and signed just for you!

It’s an easy enough contest. All you have to do to enter to win is post some reviews of the previous six Matilida Kavanagh Novels. You can post on Amazon, B&N, Kobo, Smashwords, iBooks, and Goodreads. That’s six websites, for six books, so you can have as many as 36 entries into the contest!

Now, don’t worry; I don’t expect you to post 36 unique reviews. You can just take the review from each book and copy paste it to the other sites. And you don’t have to review all of the books. If you only want to review one or two, then that’s fine. If you only review Wytchcraft on Amazon, that’s your one entry. If you take that review and copy paste it to three of the retail sites, that’s three entries for you. You follow? You can enter as many times or as few times as you like.

Also, if you were one of the awesome people to pre-order Wycked, that counts for an extra entry. Just show me proof of purchase before the release date (today) and it’ll count!

2015 Spring YA Scavenger Hunt!

Hello Everyone!

I’m so happy to introduce to you the Spring 2015 YA Scavenger Hunt Authors!

We have eight outstanding teams this season. I am going to be a part of #TeamPurple! The Scavenger Hunt runs from April 2nd through April 5th beginning and ending at noon Pacific time on those days.

Hello my darlings!

As you may have seen on my FB page yesterday, the great and powerful Zon let me down by cancelling a big sale I had planned for last week for World of Ash. I was, and still am, incredibly bummed and disappointed by this. There is every chance that the sale will happen in the future, but until they figure out why they did this and correct it, it’s on hold indefinitely.

Hallowe’en Contest and Book Giveaway!

Alright my lovelies! The contest is now open!

The contest runs through Halloween so you have from 10/26 through 10/31 to get your entries in! Any posted on 11/1 or later will not be considered.

Now for the rules! If you enter the contest you are agreeing to read World of Ash by the release week and you will write an honest review of the book and post it on Amazon and Barnes and Noble (you can post it elsewhere too of course, but those are the minimum). You must post your review no later than 12/7/13. If you cannot or are not willing to do this, please do not enter the contest. Anyone not following the rules will feel my wrath! It burns us, Precious.

Also, for bloggers: I have a blog tour running through YA Bound where all of you are welcome and encouraged to sign up. You will of course have the option to read and review the book should you sign up for the tour. I would much prefer my blogger followers/readers to sign up for the tour and allow other readers (who are not bloggers) to participate in this contest.

Hallowe’en Contest and Giveaway

If you know me, then you know that my two favorite holidays are Hallowe’en, or Samhain if you like (I do) and Christmastime (or Solstice, if you like, and I do). Autumn starts this month, I celebrate six wonderful years of marriage with my hubs, and soon the temperatures will start to drop and everything pumpkin and spice will appear.

I Cannot. Wait.

In fact, I am so excited for the change in the season, I want to start giving out presents early!

Many of you know I am releasing a new novel in December, December 2nd to be exact. I’m pretty excited about this book. It’s a little different than anything I’ve ever written and I can’t wait for you guys to read it.

So here’s the contest: Pumpkin carving. Yes, that’s right. One of my favorite traditions of Samhain is carving pumpkins and letting the candles burn long into the night, chasing away the evil spirits that would cross the veil into our home.

Halloween 2010 (yes, that’s a pumpkin for my puppy!) – The Halloween of Jack Skellington (the two big pumpkins are two of Jack’s faces).

I take pumpkin carving very seriously so I will be a harsh judge. I’ll be taking a variety of factors into consideration, some of which will be creativity, scariness, humor, skill level, and originality. You can carve real pumpkins or fake, or even gourds. Carve one or ten. It doesn’t matter to me.

I will choose five, yes FIVE, winners. Each winner will receive an ebook copy of my new novel the first week of November. Did you get that? You will get my new book a whole month before it is released!!

The contest will run from 10/26-10/31. All you have to do is post the pic on my Facebook Page starting 10/26, any pics posted before 10/26 or after 10/31 will not be considered. You can also post your pictures on Instagram and tag me, @dyingechoes, or you can tweet your picture at me at @dyingechoes! I will announce the winners here and on my FB page on 11/4 – I will request emails of the winners and their preferred ebook file and send out the books as soon as I get replies.

Here’s the catch: if you enter the contest you agree that, should you win, you will read and review the book on Amazon and Barnes and Noble no later than 12/7/12. That will give you 5 full weeks to read the book and write your review. Once the book is live on both sites, I will re-email the winners with links to make your job easier. There are no rules about the length of the review – just write what you want (yes, long reviews are great, but I want you to be yourselves) and if it turns out you just HATE the book and your review turns negative, that’s okay. I have a stash of chocolate and wine, I’ll get through it. Obviously I hope you love the book as much as you all loved The Elemental Series, but I do want your reviews to be honest more than anything.

Pumpkins everywhere!!!

Obviously there’s little I can do if you break your end of the deal and don’t put up a review. Just know I’ll be sad and disappointed and you’ll feel the weight of my wide, sad eyes. (Oh, and you’ll feel awkward and wont ever want to enter another one of my contests again, because you know, I’ll remember you broke our deal.)
