As you all know (welp, those of you who’ve been paying attention!), I’ll be releasing Time of Ruin, the sequel to World of Ash, on July 22, 2014! That date is so quickly approaching, I’m just trying not to panic. Trying the key word there.
Anyway, I am not doing a full out blog tour for this release. I am doing a book blitz, hosted by YA Bound. The blitz will run the week of 7/21 with a special Amazon Gift Card as the prize for readers who participate. I would love for every single interested blogger to sign up for the blitz, so make sure you’re on the YA Bound email list so you’ll be notified. No worries if you miss it, I’ll be posting the sign up link like a mad woman here, on FB, and Twitter.
Now, since I’m not doing a blog tour, bloggers will not be given the book to read and review as part of the blitz. BUT! I am more than happy to send bloggers an eARC to read and review! If you’ve read WOA and want to read and review TOR, please fill out a comment below letting me know, including your email and blogger website address and which e-version you prefer (Kindle, nook, PDF, etc). In the first week of June I will email all bloggers interested their eARC. When the buy links are live, I’ll email those to bloggers in July to post their reviews.
You knew that I would be replying 🙂 I have been so excited about the release!!! 🙂 I would love to read it
For now, this will only be open to active book bloggers – I don’t see a blog listed for you – are you a book blogger? If so, I’ll need the site information to double check. 🙂
I’m new to it, so I am not even sure if my blogs post I tried to post another one today fjamiem.wordpress.com
I checked yesterday and it didn’t exist, but it exists today! Huzzah! Being a new blogger is totally okay, just hit the ground running. I would suggest you start becoming active on Twitter, build your following list, look for bloggers who read/review similar books as you (and go to their blogs and follow their blogs), do a search for hashtags like #YAlit or #NAlit if you don’t know where to start. Make sure on your twitter bio and your blog bio that you make it clear you’re a book blogger and what you like to read. You don’t have to go crazy, but you want to be taken seriously, not like you’re just trying to get free books. Get your blog going – if you’ve reviewed books on Amazon/B&N before, use those as starter posts and get some up on your blog.
Go to blogs like YA Bound and sign up for email lists so they’ll start to include you in tours/cover reveals/book blitzs. And check out Goodreads. A few blogs you could look at to get some inspiration would be Book Crushing (http://bookcrush.in/), I Heart YA Books (http://iheartyabooks.blogspot.com/), Book Soulmates (http://booksoulmates.blogspot.com/), and Donnie Darko Girl (http://donniedarkogirl.blogspot.com/)
And it looks like Kelly of Book Crushing (http://bookcrush.in/) is even more awesome than I thought, if you look in the comments below she’s offered to chat with you about book blogging!
Also, I’ll need your name, email, and what format you need the book in – your name and contact info should be on your blog so people can find it easily if they want to talk to you.
YES! I would love to read & review TOR!
(oh & thanks for the shout out above – I would be happy to chat with you Fjamien~ if you want to talk about the huge world of YA bloggers!)
